A cool new NFC device is going to be available for your Moto X phone. They’re calling it skip because when you have it near your X phone you don’t have to put in your security code (if you had one set).
You can simply tap it and it will unlock your phone when nearby.
If you have ever had a security code on your phone you know how annoying it can be to put it in each time you want to look at the weather or a quick text.
The skip will come free with some of the first customized moto X phones, but otherwise you can get it for $19.
You also get some skip dots that are NFC stickers you can place anywhere you want and make it easy to unlock your Moto X.
Obviously the skip and dots only work with your paired Moto X
Finally AT&T has confirmed the Moto X release date to be August 23!
You can pickup the 16GB for $199 or the 32GB for only $50 more at $249.
Also, if you customize your Moto X phone you’ll get a free Moto X skip with your phone. This allows you to carry a tiny NFC device and keeps your phone unlocked when it’s around you so you don’t have to put your security key in each time you want to check something on your phone. A very cool and unique feature.
